Temple Mills Depot, East London
Balfour Beatty Rail Projects carried out the design, manufacture, supply, installation, testing and commissioning of approximately 14km of track and 48 point ends, overhead line equipment and traction power supply at the new Temple Mills Depot situated on the Channel Tunnel Rail Link (CTRL) alongside the existing Lea Valley lines in East London.

The new depot will provide stabling, servicing and maintenance for Eurostar’s fleet of trains, replacing the existing North Pole International Depot in West London when Eurostar services commence from St Pancras in November 2007.

The depot contains all the facilities necessary to support the operation of the international trains and access from the depot to the CTRL will be via a link emerging at the new Stratford International station.

Balfour Beatty Rail Projects also provided the signalling equipment and depot protection system for the new depot.
