West Coast Route Modernisation, Overhead Line Equipment and Distribution Project
The Overhead Line Equipment & Distribution Project is one of the major routewide contracts, which forms part of Network Rail’s multi-billion pound West Coast Route Modernisation scheme.

The contract comprises the design, supply, installation, testing and commissioning of an upgraded overhead line system to facilitate 125mph line speeds and a new auto-transformer power system to enable the high speed running of trains with an increased capacity.

The project, the largest electrification contract ever awarded in the UK, extends from Euston Station in London to Law Junction, near Motherwell in Scotland.
