This contract is comprising of new construction of Botniabanan’s catenary system - stage 2.
The contract includes new construction of the catenary system, point heating, power supply for signalling and telecommunication kiosks and power supply for lighting for service and maintenance.
The second stage of Botniabanan is between Husum and Gimonäs in Umeå and is approximaltely 100km long. The catenary system is providing the trains with electricity and the point-heating that warms up the railway switches so that they are kept snow and ice free.
The construction will be conducted during three winter seasons and the first starts in September 2007, the first season’s works is on the section between Husum and Norrsjön the second season’s works is on the section Norrsjön and the last section is between Hössjön and Gimonäs.
