Balfour Beatty Rail is part of a Consortium with SEMI, Cobra, EMTE and Elecnor. The complete project volume is Euro 143.6 million, of which Euro 21.4 million is the contract value for Balfour Beatty. The contract consists of two orders – from Madrid to Puente del Ebro and from Puente del Ebro to Lerida. The tracklength is 450 km, double-track. The scope includes a 25 kV, 50 Hz catenary system for a maximum speed of 350 km/h and maintenance till 12/2004.
