KTMB contracted out the maintenance of the then newly completed and commissioned electrification infrastructure to Balfour Beatty Rail Sdn Bhd. This maintenance project has been renewed for the four terms. The scope of works consists of the maintenance of the 25kV electrification systems including incident and accident rectification of the overhead catenary system, feeder, track sectioning, tie breaker stations and SCADA installed.
