The Track Unit has fully qualified and experienced welding teams that have the required competencies to carry out a variety of welding services, including:
- Thermit welding, SKV process, to all rail profiles and grades, including special processes and composite welds
- Railtech welding, PLA felt, sand mould systems to all rail profiles and grades
- Manual metal/arc welding – repairs to plain rails, crossing nose build-up, repairs to switchblade
- Conductor rail welding
- Lineside welding
- Wide gap welding
- Tram/grooved rail welding
- Qualified weld inspection services, with fully mobile inspectors
- Flash butt welding
All of our welders have an excellent record for quality and safety, and are fully mobile enabling them to carry out works anywhere in the UK.
