Balfour Beatty Rail Projects’ Track Unit has an extensive range of knowledge, expertise and experience of permanent way works. This ensures that we are able to offer our customers an excellent service of the highest quality.
With our in-house resources and supplies, we offer a full range of services for permanent way installation and switches & crossings (S&C) installation on main lines and depots, including many special trackforms.
We provide a wide range of inspections, maintenance services, road/rail crossing work and other railway related disciplines. We provide a complete service to meet the requirements of a diverse range of customers.
Across all parts of the UK, our record in completing projects - both small and large - safely, on time and to budget is second-to-none.
These works include new installations as well as renewals on plain line and S&C, on private sidings or main line, during possessions or blockades, and can include planning, procurement, installation and project management through to handback.
The Track Unit can also draw upon Balfour Beatty Rail’s in-house support, resources and experience of multi-disciplinary rail projects - for example, signalling, civils and electrification.
